CHAPTER 02 / DEFAULT RULES

Launching a coin

One transaction, signed by your wallet. Creator fees go to the treasury, permanently configured.

One transaction, signed by you.

You connect your own Solana wallet and approve a single transaction. It calls pump.fun's official create_v2 instruction, creates the coin's fee-sharing configuration and sends 100% of creator fees to the coin's treasury, which also revokes the creator's power to change that split. A shared address lookup table keeps everything inside one transaction.

VERSUS adds no launch fee to that transaction. Your wallet shows the Solana network fee and what pump.fun charges to create a coin before you approve.

The mint key stays in your browser.

The coin's address comes from a fresh keypair generated in your browser for this one launch attempt. It signs the launch locally and is not sent to VERSUS. Treasury keys never reach your browser either: the treasury address is assigned by VERSUS's custody service.

Before a treasury is assigned, your wallet signs a message that binds the creator, mint, name, symbol, metadata, model and program. The request expires after five minutes. Treasury assignment is rate-limited to 3 launches per creator wallet and 50 in total per hour.

Check before you approve.

The page checks the prepared transaction against your form: creator, new mint, treasury, name, symbol, metadata link and lookup table. That check relies on data from VERSUS's servers, so it is not an independent proof. Review the transaction in your wallet as well.

Name: up to 32 bytes. Symbol: 1–10 uppercase letters or digits. VERSUS hosts the metadata and artwork you upload at a public address.

A coin counts only after the chain says so.

The arena starts only after VERSUS reads the finalized chain state and confirms that 100% of creator fees go to this treasury, the fee-sharing admin is revoked, the mint and freeze authorities are revoked, and the bonding curve belongs to pump.fun. Pasting a transaction ID is not enough.

If registration is interrupted after your transaction finalizes, keep the page open and retry. Do not pay again.

When launches are paused

VERSUS refuses new launches while the platform is not ready: when its database, Solana connection, custody signer, balance history, AI models, clock or launch lookup table fail their health checks. Nothing is sent in that case. Coins that already exist keep their treasuries; their activity resumes when the failing service recovers.
